Grab the Mic!

Brother - I’m so excited to have you join me on the Medicine Men podcast. We’ll be focusing on you and your journey - the challenges you’ve overcome in your past, what you’re struggling with now, and where you’re going. We will make casual mention of the medicine and its role in your journey, but the focus is on you, your leadership, and your masculinity.

No topic is off-limits. We can always cut anything you’d rather not have published.

Let's gooo!

-Jesse

How to Prepare

Please do not participate in this session while under the influence, while driving, or while in a public place.

  • Avoid any large corporate logos in your clothing or background unless you own the business
  • Get yourself a glass of water to stay hydrated
  • Know that we can edit out anything you don’t want included in the final cut
  • Review the sample Questions below - the idea is to have a very natural chat covering these topics which are about your life
  • You will be asked to share the public episode with your social network
  • Turn your ringer to SILENT. Use Wi-Fi Only.

Technology

We will be using Riverside.fm to record the session.

  • You will need a high-quality camera - your smartphone is your best bet provided that you have a tripod or stand to keep it steady.
  • Don't forget to look at the camera!
  • You will need a wi-fi Internet connection
  • If you have a high-quality microphone or lapel mic, please have that connected before we start
  • Download the Riverside.fm app to your smartphone in advance. No app download is required from a laptop.

Questions

Here are some potential questions for our discussion:

  • Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do?
  • What adversity did you face growing up? How did you come to the medicine? What advice would you give to men who are considering medicine work?
  • How has the medicine impacted your masculinity / your manhood / your life?
  • What would you say was the hardest part about working with medicine?
  • Any recommendations for guys thinking about exploring medicine or who have been working with medicine for a while?
  • Is there anything you'd like to offer to listeners? If so, we can include it in the final copy that accompanies the episode announcement.
